Presidents Report
For the next few months, I want to use this report as a way to pass along some information about our destination resorts for the upcoming ski season. Our first trip is December 12-17 to Big Sky, Montana. Here is a little information that I hope will pique your interest:
Nestled in Montana’s majestic Madison Range, Big Sky Resort is a skier’s paradise that blends heart-pounding adventure with jaw-dropping scenery. Spanning over 5,800 acres, this winter wonderland boasts 4,350 vertical feet of terrain, making it a haven for thrill-seekers and casual cruisers alike. With 300 runs, from gentle groomers to hair raising double blacks like the Big Couloir, there’s a slope for every skill level. Plus, with an average of 400 inches of powdery snow annually, you’re practically guaranteed a fresh tracks fiesta!
What sets Big Sky apart? The Lone Peak Tram, a bucket-list ride that whisks you to 11,166 feet for panoramic views that’ll leave you speechless (and maybe a little winded). The resort’s vibe is laid-back yet vibrant, with cozy lodges, fire pits, and apres-ski scenes that range from craft brews at Montana Jack to live music at the Carabiner Lounge. Families love the ski school and kid-friendly zones, while adrenaline junkies flock to the terrain parks and gladed runs.
Off the slopes, Big Sky’s charm shines with snowshoeing, dog sledding, or a scenic sleigh ride dinner under starlit skies. With fewer crowds than other mega-resorts, you’ll append more time carving turns than waiting in lift lines. Big Sky isn’t just a ski trip- it’s a full-throttle winter adventure!
Consider joining us on this joint trip with the OKC Ski Club but there are only a couple of pillows left so if you are interested sign up now.
