Red River
Red River is a smaller ski resort but you’ll find wide open groomers, park laps, and steep powder filled trees, all with minimal lift lines and fresh powder stashes that last days after a storm. This is a real ski town built by miners, not developers. Come check out the real thing, we’re sure you’ll fall in love with the Ski Town of the Southwest.
Taos
Taos Ski Valley is a world-class ski resort in a quaint village in northern New Mexico. It's located at the southern tip of the Rocky Mountains, at a base elevation of 9,200 feet, and is surrounded by forests and mountains. Taos Ski Valley is known for its challenging terrain, including steep slopes and varied terrain off the ridges. However, it also offers beginner and intermediate trails as well. 



Riverside Lodge & Cabins

Located on a full city block in the center of town, our property is located within walking distance of anything you may need - shopping, dining, nightlife, the Copper Chair lift, and the river! The lodge features a club house to meet in the mornings and to host the Spaghetti welcome party dinner. Property also has an outdoor hot tub to unwind in after a tough day of skiing! Daily bus transportation to and from Taos Ski Valley will be provided for those skiers that want a more challenging skiing experience.

New and Improved Bus Trip!
Sleeper buses are a thing of the past and our winter trip chair has worked hard to come up with a bus trip that is workable financially and more comfortable for all participants. We will be traveling on an Executive motorcoach from Village Travel. The club has travelled with Village Travel for many years and they are a professional operation. The bus will be traveling to Red River, NM during the day instead of at night. One meal will be provide on the drive out and back for club members. No more sleeping on creaky upper or lower bunks and worrying about rolling out of bed. The executive coach has restroom, leg rests, 4 inches further reclining than standard coach seat, Wi-Fi, 110 volt and USB plugins at EVERY seat, leather seating, and seatbelts for all passengers.
Bus will depart at 6 AM on 2/22/25 and arrive in Red River that evening. Club members will be able to check into their lodge rooms and sleep in a REAL bed and be well rested for their first day of skiing! This will be a huge bonus for anyone that struggles with altitude sickness and doesn't like to change into their ski gear in a room with 20 other people after not sleeping on a bus all night!
The bus will take skiers to Taos Ski Valley each morning and return to Riverside Lodge and Cabins each evening. 
The bus will depart Red River, NM on 2/26/25 and arrive in Tulsa that evening. 


Red River is not on any passes but their rates are very reasonable and they offer half day tickets as well. 

Taos is on the Ikon Pass

Taos can be accessed with the Ikon and Ikon Base Pass

We would need at least 20 tickets to qualify for group rates at Taos. Window prices are listed below for those not purchasing an Ikon pass for Taos.
 



 To make this trip a go we need at least 20 people signed up!
If we can't get 20 people signed up the entire trip will have to be cancelled. The price of the bus is a fixed cost so 20 is minimum we need to make this trip work. The good news is if we get more than 20 people then each participate will be getting a rebate after the completion of the trip. The more people we get, the cheaper the trip will be for everyone! Viability of the trip will be accessed on January 15th, 2025.

Full Refund before December 15th, 2024. After 12/15/24, refunds will not be given due the nature of the bus being a fixed cost.

Registration cancellations will be accepted until Sunday, December 15, 2024 at 12:00 AM
Cancellation Policy:
NON-REFUNDABLE PROCESSING FEE: 4% of the trip cost paid to date.

TRIP CANCELLATIONS:
If a trip participant withdraws from a trip after the published cancellation date, the trip participant will lose the entire payment upon withdrawal. If the participant can be replaced the participant will be refunded the entire payment less any costs incurred by the Club in addition to cancellation fees as specified above. If the trip participant cannot be replaced, the participant will be refunded the amount which the Trip Captain is able to recover by cancellation of lodging, transportation, and/or other commitments less any costs incurred by the Club and cancellation fees as specified above. Refunds will not be issued until after the trip is complete.
Trip Insurance is always a wise move to protect you in case unexpected issues come up and you need to withdraw from a trip. There are many companies available with comparable coverage. You should choose the plan and company that is right for you. The purchase of Travel Insurance is not mandatory for our travelers to participate on any Tulsa Ski Club trip. The Tulsa Ski Club does not endorse, and is not affiliated with, any trip insurance companies. The Tulsa Ski Club bears no responsibility or liability for the sale, pricing or execution of this insurance in any way.
