Fall Campout Recap - Andrea Adams

The Summer trips concluded two weeks ago with our campout at Greenleaf State Park.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the progressive appetizers.  We visited four different camp sites for cheese and crackers, soup, stuffed mushrooms, manicotti and desserts.  And let’s not forget Dick’s Tequila Punch, it was great and very dangerous.

Saturday was spent hiking and watching college football.  Unfortunately, severe storms cancelled our Smore’s cooking and eating and kept everyone in their tents and campers.  Despite the weather ending things early, it was still a great way to end the summer spending time with new and old friends.  But now summer is over and winter is almost here so Let Ski Season Begin!!!   See everyone on the mountain!

Our campers enjoy evening cocktails and meaningful conversation.

Our strong and lovely women…

Are we having fun yet?

Last recruiting effort brought in much needed young talent.

Lovely Andrea could give lessons in relaxation …

Vince in his entertainment mode…

Our groups drift around the camp and samples varies culinary creations. The stimulating aroma is in the air and Jim thinks his savory product is ready for consumption.

After eating so many courses, it’s time to sit down and relax…

No Oklahoma camping would be complete without the thrill of OU and OSU football games!!

Saturday evening storm chased Dick, George, Dennis, and Robert into an impromptu man’s cave under a collapsed table tent. So much fun! You should have been there!

Mary and Dick invited Dennis, George, Robert and Darla to their lovely camper for a fabulous dinner, grilled salmon, chicken, baked potatoes, and scrumptious salad. Wow! You REALLY should have been there!!

Well, see you at our next camping foray!
